• Our Culture

These are the things that make up our DNA. Whether you attend our Sunday services, and/or our midweek gatherings or studies, you will recognize these attributes, as these are the things God has called us to live out.

  • The Government of Jesus

Jesus Himself is the Chief Cornerstone, the Head of the Church, and the One who builds His Church. He does so through the Body of Christ, His Ekklesia (that’s US)…His reigning, ruling representatives here on the earth. And He has fully equipped the Church through Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers and Shepherds, who work with the Elders to raise up the Church into all maturity.

    -Colossians 2:10, Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22, 4:11-16, Matt. 16:18

    Family

The Kingdom is built upon family, beginning with a Father and a Son, then continuing with brothers and sisters, and a Bride made-ready. Our community is a family of families, and every member is valuable and important.

    -Matthew 6:9, John 5:19, Matt. 12:48-50, Ephesians 5:25, Isaiah 54:5, Revelation 22:17

    Surrender

Jesus was the perfect example of One who is fully surrendered to the Father. So likewise, we too will live fully surrendered lives.

    -Luke 9:23, John 5:19, Galatians 2:20

    Rest[oration]

Jesus quoted Isaiah 61 of Himself, declaring the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him to proclaim freedom and restoration for captives. This too is our call, and is the scripture from which we chose the name “Centre61”. Isaiah 61 is our mandate. And we do this from a place of resting in Him.

    -Isaiah 61, Genesis 2:2, Matt. 11:28-30, Hebrews 4:9-11

    Honour

The Godhead operates out of honour: the Father honours Jesus, Jesus honours the Father, Holy Spirit honours Jesus, and on and on it goes. We too will operate and love each other from a place of honour (not flattery).

    -John 5:23, 16:13-15, Romans 12:10, Philippians 2:3, 1 Peter 2:7

    Generosity

We have received everything freely from Jesus, so we will freely give. He is our treasure, so there will our hearts be. Everything we have comes from Him, so we willingly give it back. We give generously of our lives, our tithes/offerings, our talents, and our gifts. We freely give life, healing and freedom from oppression as well, according to the directive of Jesus.

    -Malachi 3:10, Proverbs 11:25, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Matt. 6:21, 10:7-8

    Joy

The Kingdom is made up of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is a fruit of the work of the Spirit in our lives, and will pour out of us naturally as He gets more and more territory in our hearts and lives!

    -1 Chronicles 16:27, Psalm 16:11, Romans 14:17, 1 Peter 1:8-9
